The Society for Ecological Restoration International (SERI) conference held in Perth in late August was a phenomenal workout for the the head and the heart of delegates.  The theme, ‘Making change in a changing world’ signalled the fundamental challenges facing practitioners (professional, volunteer and academic) in making decisions amid rapidly changing environments, philosophies and knowledge base.
