Walk and Talk along the Kororoit Creek

Join us for a walk along the Kororoit Creek with the Friends of Kororoit Creek.
We will be starting at Fraser St in Sunshine and finishing up at Buckingham Reserve in Sunshine West.
The walk will be an opportunity to discuss and learn about the plants and animals, waterway management and water quality issues along the Kororoit Creek.
Julie Bright (Melbourne Water), Sam Harrison (Waterwatch), Hayley Mackie (Brimbank City Council) and representatives from the “Friends of Kororoit Creek” will be on hand to explain what their roles and activities are along the Kororoit Creek Corridor.

Where:
The walk will start at 10am (registrations from 9:30am) at the Kororoit Creek end of Fraser Street in Sunshine (Melway Map 26 E12). We will then make our way on to the Kororoit Creek trail.
There is ample parking along Fraser St or alternatively the start of the walk is approximately 2km form the Sunshine Railway Station.
The walk will finish at Buckingham Reserve (Melway Map 40 G4) between 12:30pm and 1pm followed by lunch. (Please advise if you have any special dietary requirements).

When:
Saturday August 22nd 2009 from 10am to 1pm. Lunch from 1pm -1:30pm.

Please note: the walk is approximately 5km long and the walking path is of a gentle grade. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear. Transport will be available at Buckingham Reserve to return people back to Fraser St (starting point) if required.
