The Hindmarsh Landcare Network and Greening Australia invite you to celebrate the 11th Annual Hindmarsh Ace Radio Landcare Weekend based at the famous Little Desert Nature Lodge, just south of Nhill.

Having successfully connected the Big Desert National Park with the Little Desert National Park; planting 100km of trees to create 2000km of links within the first four years of the landcare weekends, Project Hindmarsh now focuses on private property; assisting farmers protect, enhance and restore native vegetation. The weekend’s activities will continue to benefit us all, increasing biodiversity on a regional scale whilst helping landholders farm for the future.

This year’s weekend will focus on three planting sites, private property adjoining the Wimmera River south of Jeparit and a Black Box swamp north of Rainbow on Saturday and back to planting a roadside at Tarranginnie on the Sunday.

At the Jeparit site, we will be joined by local indigenous community members led by the Barengi Gadjin Land Council to survey for the presence of artefacts, scar trees & burial sites.

We hope you can join us again, for the tenth, fifth or for the first time! Our community welcomes the opportunity to share with you what they have done to conserve our environment and your work won’t go unrewarded!
