There is no one Here!

Although the IFFA website is a great resource this forum is a dissapointment. I see that most posts go unanswered which doesn't encourage people to come back and post again. Even if the administrator answered posts maybe a few people would hang around long enough to get an effective community happening.

It would be nice to have a thiving forum, no doubt this is what was invisaged when it was set up. Anyway I'm keeping a lookout at the moment but if nobody posts here I'll give up too.

Come on people! How about a bit of forum action!

Posting photos - and website administration

I'll look into how photos might be added in forums other than in the opening post, but can I direct you to our indigenous plants wiki, which might be more appropriate for posting photos?  You can create a page about the species/EVC/whatever and post as many photos as you like.

But also if anyone would like to volunteer to keep an eye on parts of the site I would be overjoyed.

Posting pics

Hi Tony,

Although the Indig plant wiki will hopefully become a great resource it doesn't help get this forum moving. I am thinking along the lines of people posting pics of their gardens, plants with problems, holiday snaps of beautiful bushland etc that would stimulate responses but not necessarily be suitable for the wiki.

I am a member of various forums and photos are obviously an important tool to help explain or describe something. If you could look into the ability of photos being posted in replies I think this discussion forum would be a lot more appealing and informative.

I would be happy to help monitor a few parts of this forum and try to get it moving if you think it would help. Feel free to contact me at brunonia@optusnet.com.au

Help with monitoring website

I'd love it if you or others volunteered to monitor parts of the discussion forum;  I'll get in contact offline.

Where are we?

It has been a while since I have looked at this website.   I am not experienced at forums and posting.  It takes time to load pictures but I do love looking at other peoples pics.  Am I being a pain if I just put a link to my pics or would people prefer the pics loaded here? Some people don't like being taken to another website?

Hi Colleen, great collection of photos.  You are welcome to post photos here, particularly in our indigenous plants wiki (see the menu on the left) however our expectation is that if you post on the Wiki you are releasing the photo for use with a free licence.

Hi Colleen,

I had a look at some of your photos (so many!) and they are fantastic. It's great to see so many from the west too. I posted a couple of pics in another thread here but I can't seem to do it here. I'll have a look around and see if I can work it out. This isn't the easiest forum to use.

After a quick look it seems you can only attach pictures etc in the opening post in a thread, so I will attach a photo in my first post. It was taken at Woorndoo Common many years ago. It is the most impressive Basalt Plains Grassland remnant I have seen so far.
