IFFA new statement of purposes and rule changes from Special General Meeting on March 27th
At the Special General Meeting held on March 27th this year, IFFA adopted a brand new set of rules, based on the model rules provided by Consumer Affairs Victoria, and a revised Statement of Purposes coming out of IFFA's strategic planning process. The new rules are updated to include many required changes over the years since IFFA was incorporated, but also to make some changes to membership types, fees, and renewal dates, and to expand the IFFA committee to create a larger pool of people to undertake the work of running IFFA.

Many things stay the same, however some significant changes include:
- expanding the Committee to include formal positions for Editor, Webmaster, Events Coordinator, Indigenous Nurseries Liaison Officer, Youth Representative, Fundraising Coordinator and Ecological Information Coordinator.
- Raising the membership fees for families from $25 to $35
- Incorporating new membership categories of 'Life Member' and 'Family Life Member'
- Changing the membership cycle from anniversary of joining to 1 July to 30 June.
