Our suburban block was carved out of grassy woodland dominated by River Red Gum (Eucalyptus camaldulensis). This is one of the about 20 large(ish) pre-existing trees in our garden.

We also had Lightwood (Acacia implexa) pre-existing on the block.

And the national floral emblem Golden Wattle (Acacia pycnantha).
